Poet's Notes about The Poem

Craigellachie is the little pit stop where the ceremonial final iron spike of the cross Canada Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) was driven on November 7,1885. A symbol of national unity in Canada, without the completion of the CPR, Canada as we know it today would not exist.

intriguing piece... im being brave but my perception is praising (kind of) the beauty of the symbolic birth of lotus (be it flower) loosely i think, where the white petals praise upwards, free breathing, where as the rest of us scurry around lost almost beast-like, untrustworthy and suffering... thats my understanding... maybe understanding is not required, just appreciating the form... im not that bright but i like to lay my version of how i see things thanks karen (Report) Reply
