Covenant Friend Poem by David Adeyemo

Covenant Friend

To the deity I have prayed
That we may meet again
So long the breath of life continues
When you return to your country
Do not forget my company
O! Covenant friend…
For lonely I used to be
A low life, son of the gravedigger
Left alone by the mocking stars
But when we struck our friendship
My burden little it becomes.
