Courtship Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Courtship

Rating: 5.0

Violet mantric reeves of crinoline lips

These dreams are trumpets of love

Inside golden halls

Whispers of the gallant ghosts

Relative moonlight of gossamer rings

We know angels are here

Don't be afraid of the ancient relics

Sometimes shadows talk

Sleep with your new kitten

Your quilt is old and mystic

The vase of roses

I court your ancestry

Your eyes are lovely carriages

Your hands the veins of queens

Blood is a lion

Time a rite of passage

You dream of them

They have dreamed you

Courtship is a sacred gathering
