Courageous Cinderella

Rating: 5.0

Once upon a time there was a daughter,
In family of merchant she was in laughter.
The time came she lost her both parents,
Thirteen brothers left one sister tenants.

All brothers were happy with sister-in-laws,
Family fell in maintenance of their clause.
Brothers were affectionate towards sister,
Love was unbending and love was their factor.

One day brothers went for business far place,
Sister played with friends to win life's race.
Sister-in-laws planned and tortured her more,
In absence of brothers she cried from her core.

Brother's wives sent her to forest with goats,
On grazing one was missed she fell in notes.
She cried in deep forest due to tiger lion fear,
Forgetting in path in pain she searched in cheer.

Soon she surrendered before supreme God,
In God's feet she poured devotion and did nod.
Fear went away; obstacles broke at a moment,
With courage moving in forest got goat comment.

Prayed God to forgive them to her sister-in-laws,
She urged God to free all from illusion's claws.
Victory of Cinderella, daughter of dead merchant
Even today people sing Gog's glory, verses chant.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
"In a merchant of family once upon a time there was a daughter living with laughter. Time came that she lost her both parents. She was left with her thirteen brothers. With sister-in-laws all brothers were happy. The maintenance of family fell in their hands. All brothers were affectionate towards their only sister. There was unbending love towards her in family and only love was factor. One day brothers went far place for the business purpose. To win life's own race sister played with her friends happily. But her sister-in-laws planned one day and tortured her more in absence of brothers. In such activity she cried more from heart's core. Sister-in-laws sent her with goats in to forest. She fell in a loss. One of goats was missed. Due to fear of lion and tiger she cried a lot in forest. Still forgetting in path of pain she lived in cheer. She surrendered soon before supreme God. She poured her devotion in his feet and bowed her head. Obstacles broke at a moment and her fear went away. She moved with courage then in forest and finally got her missing goat. She prayed God to forgive all of her sister-in-laws. Also she urged before God to make free all from the claws of illusion. People sing about victory of Cinderella, the daughter of dead merchant even now a day. Also people sing about God's glory and chant the verses." This poem is based on such theme. Your version of Cinderella is remarkably resilient in the face of injustice. If those who persecuted her thought she would collapse, surrender, give up, they were very wrong. Not only does she prevail, but she forgives her persecutors, What strength of spirit she displays! But I'm sure she is also the happiest person alive in that extended family.
