Courage Poem by Amar Agarwala

Courage

It takes a lot of courage
To be who you really are,
It takes a lot of braving
To be like a shining star;

It takes all the might & brawn
To listen to your heart's voice,
To gauge the urging's within
And make it your living choice;

At times fate tests your patience
To follow your life-long dreams,
Coloured with those mystic thoughts
That babbles within in streams;

We hear the voices around
We listen to worldly din,
We ignore our soul's whispers
And that is our biggest sin;

The right of choice is ours
And that is our biggest pride,
It's heaven's greatest blessing
That'll ever be by our side;

Let's forget not this promise
And pray that our faith remains,
When everything deserts us
We stoically bear our pains;

The path to success is long
And strewn with troubles and strife,
We need cross many hurdles
When we journey through our life;

We all win and lose in turns
Such happens to everyone,
This world ‘s about survivors
The one who survives has won;

The brave hearts will lord this world
Their spirits shall rule this earth,
Cowards will languish in hell
For that is all they are worth.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
ABOUT BRAVE-HEARTS

This world is about brave-hearts, those have courage in their hearts to follow their dreams and inner urging. The rest stand and watch, for it is a pity that man who is God's most favorite creation fails to live up the expectations of divinity time and again.

Perhaps, a tinge of faith and some fearlessness is all that is needed, yet man grovels in the filth and grime of weakness and cowardice and attains not the kingdom of God, which was ever his.
