Courage Poem by C. Albert Andrews

Courage

COURAGE

Took great courage to come this far

Days, nights, was that internal war

It meant a lot

Something you thought you had to do

You never give up

Nor did you stop.

You have always said

Never look back

Focus on your dreams

Don't matter how hard it seems

Pot-holes, Rough, rocky roads

Exhausted at times,

Weak, fallen

On your knees

Sometimes on your back, belly

Even on your face.

Confidence, belief and faith

In yourself, not in someone else.

In the end,

That needle

That appeared so difficult to thread

Has now made the sheets on so many beds.
