Country Memories Poem by Marilyn Lott

I look at pictures from long ago
Of family, friends and such
Mom and Dad doing their chores
Memories that I love so much.

Working out in the hay fields
Mom in her kitchen with a smile
Ah yes, I love those photographs
I gaze at them once in a while.

It puts me back into the past
Oh sure, some memories hurt
But such is life, we all feel that
Only off and on in little spurts.

I know that you too have thoughts
Of happy times and also worries
But for me what I love the most
Are my treasured country memories!
