Country Autumn Poem by Shqipe Prence

Country Autumn

Golden autumn in red-yellow glow,
Comes as a dream, as an ardent rainbow,
A rainbow of fruits, a colorful array,
Bringing so much delight in a boisterous day.
Whispers along the trees, the birds fly,
The smell and aromas, the luster of sky,
Ripeness and harvest, gatherings, distance
Renders more sweet the people’s existence!
Changing leaves, the burst of colors,
Does make them look like flowers,
Leaves that twist, whirling, twirling leaves,
Round and round tumble down from trees,
Red, purple, yellow, orange brown,
To adorn the earth and carpet lay down,
Leaves that decay to dress the ground!
This does not feel like green world end,
This is more a recreation,
A painting foliage, a golden rain,
A new form of expressive art,
A rebirth, a regain; so smart!
All beauty, all beauty and grace,
Autumnal face…
