An embrace of translucent cover
Sent caution free upon the wind
Yet, captured within the gentle breeze
Was that of Love’s most wretched sin
For thine heart was purely given
A lover’s gift, of body and soul
To amalgamate with another
Destined love, rebirthed, one whole
But, could you truly be my soul mate?
When silent tears, you could not see
Had lust blinded thine heart’s desires?
Designing a path of false destiny
Had fate merely been tampered with?
Did there exist a path not chosen?
Would the flame of my eternal soul
Burn cold, of searing heat, most frozen?
Was the breeze of Love’s most wretched sin
That of my mouths own breath, exhaled?
An unseen sign released to the wind
Of forgiveness, for a passion that failed
Could you truly be my soul mate?
When my lover’s cry, you do not hear
Could you truly be my soul mate?
If you know me not, my dear
