Could You Rethink Or Reset? Poem by Varghese J Kuttikat

Could You Rethink Or Reset?

Could anyone possibly unweave the pattern of History
As Penelope undid what she had knit together?
Waking into the morning, Man finds night dissolves
As snow melts into water at the slight touch of heat
Events ride on like swift-winged hawks
Crashing down on all the unlucky with a thud monstrous
So many are buried forever, never to see light again
Whereas a treacherous few seize all the keys
And strut about, lifting up their horns
Where does the startling sequence of events lead to?
- To kingdoms dark and desperate or to kingdoms neat and sunlit?
God Almighty, Dear Lord! Could You possibly rethink or reset?
