Corrupted Poem by O Sudhir Janardhanan

Corrupted

Corrupted by banalities,
labelled love
The heart
seeks for
solace, in
hate

Hate sought transcends
every known impulse
Heaving the being
into the
vortex of
Devil

Devil rides unbridled
All emotions,
discarded
to reveal,
fiendish
a smile

Smile, splits the visage
Facade that remains
confirms Devil
resides with
man, hate
corrupted
