Corner Cafe Poem by shirley hedrick

Corner Cafe

corner Cafe

I saw you today at the
little corner cafe
where we use to go every day
You hung your head in shame
you didn't say a thing

I placed you above my
family and friends
but all you ever did
was bring me down

I gave to you my
heart and sole
only to break it into
Oh how I loved you so

Your picture I keep
in a frame to remind
me your to blame
I saw you today at the
little corner cafe
you hung your head in shame
For you know your
the one to blame
