Cooling Water Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Cooling Water

Cooling water, you quench my thirst.
Of all the drinks, I choose you first.
The global resource, continents wide,
All waters side by side.

The water in my eyes,
Give me fresh site.
The iciness, I invite.
Beautiful water I love so much.

I once wrote stories about water.
The main endings were the same.
The stories all ended happily.
To all the conflicts, there was no blame.
