Contradiction Poem by Stephen Sherwood

Contradiction

Rating: 2.0

The contradiction of - endless love and eternal hate
Makes us bring together what they separate
The sky was burned with the smell of smoke
The pain still not cured, but there’s always hope

The trail of tears leads me step by step
Interrogation still, a false concept
Can't you see the truth, we’re still apart
In two separate groups both light and dark

It’s an issue repressed, a truth ignored
Now its time to express, hide the news no more
Look to the past, stop—think now reminisce
Riddle me now, please answer me this

How’s a child to blame for the corruption of men?
Is his soul not the same? Have the racists done it again?
This contradiction brings a tear to my eye
I can see the hate, that’s easy to find

In contradiction, the contradiction of
Now some one quick - please show me the love.
