Continuum Poem by Holly Jamestone

Continuum

Seasons relent as quietly
As gentle whispers in the night
Mine shafts christen nearby hills
Crisply bathed in lily white

Days slip by and disappear
Behind the icy mountaintops
Fawns retreat to mother's arms
As the chilling temperature drops

Seasons switch hands silently
As autumn's tears bring morning dew
Scent of pine and burning wood
Bring back memories to a few

Months slip by and disappear
Years on calendars obsolete
Vulnerable to Father Time
Always will the days repeat
