Consequences Of Anger Poem by Carrie Carliell

Consequences Of Anger

Rating: 4.8

It was dark
I was angry and hurt
Couldn't see straight
Was blinded

Commanding a red bullet
Through the alley ways
of the map
blindly

The deer came trotting out of the shadows
So quickly
That I didn't see them at first
I almost knocked them over

Aligned perfectly in a row
All almost lost their lives
In one split second
Because anger blinded me to them

Distraught over what almost was
Serious issues could have occured
Unvelievable guilt would follow
Consequences I would always regret

Instead I returned the vehicle to its rightful owner
I had no business driving last night
In the state I was currently in
It affects me deeply to know I almost caused something this big

Thanks be to God!
He saved me from hitting them
Waved a white shirt, where I could see
Causing me to stop dead in my tracks

Crumbling into a ball
Sobs wracking through my body
Terrified of how close I came
To hitting something

Thiswas real good. Very creative and presented in a magnificent way. The writing helped a lot. I can't say enough good things about it. I gave it a 9. GW62
