Confusion Poem by Draven Lyke

Confusion

Opportunities arise from every corner
presenting themselves in different ways
temptation runs in the heart of each
clueless to which will truly satisfy me
each please different people’s needs

All the ones I love and love me
have tickets to this lottery
some say the only way to rise above
is to accept what you like the best
and eff the rest

But that’s a tad hard you see
when everything is surrounded in dark clouds
ignore their booming threat
and the rain consumes you like
a mother’s first child

When the storm clears off
and if I’m left dry
don’t try to find me
unless you know where I’ll be
