Concord Poem by Moth Harris

Concord

Your confessions are you own
Only leaving me with the regret
My life's taken a different tone
and I only wish we'd never met

Let the smoke kill your lungs, go ahead and breathe it in
Your hearts all ash anyways, go ahead and blow it out
Live like it's the only thing worth living for
Atleast I'm alive to take another drag

Your tears mean so little to me now
They're only painted on your mask
I can't seem to find the question somehow
So I don't think I'll even try to ask

You let me kill the trust, lost in your faithless lust
I was just another tally on a tree
But I broke off the branches that were once me
and left you to burn away in your pain
