Concentration Poem by Phil Soar

Concentration

Rating: 4.0

I didn't concentrate when I was young
And now the chance to learn has almost gone
My mind keeps flitting off as if in space
I have a funny look upon my face

My teeth belong inside a glass
I have acne upon my ass
And hairs where I have not had hairs before
My eyes have seen much better days
I walk around in a kind of haze
And I say things that I've never said before

So as time has not been kind
And I have almost lost my mind
I regret I didn't concentrate much more
I'm a solitary fool
And have been so since I left school
And inside my head, someone has closed the door
