Computer Geek Poem by Joseph James Breunig 3rd

Computer Geek

Rating: 5.0

After twenty years, as cursed as I may be
for having learned computerese,
I continue to examine bits, bytes and words
and insure that I'm one of those computer nerds.

Program design, source code and compile
followed by walk-throughs that place me on trial.
There's lots of testing - a means to an end
in hopes of avoiding future production abends.

There are micros, minis and mainframe hardware
which are made to work with in-house and vendor software.
Provided are many platforms for everyone to use
and assure misinformation in data's abuse.

Man advanced in science, but not in religion. He is still primitive in the matter of religion, I feel. Am I correct?

To be computer minded reflects the mind of God, since he made everything of a mathematical picture. There is even a book written by a rabbi, whereby God gave a revelation of his Mathematical/ Scientific mind, called 'the Arithmetic of God.' As Richard M. Gross once said: 'Spirituality is to religion as justice is to law.' This is a most intriguing muse for a computer enthusiasts~! Regards, ~Milly
