Complete Change Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Complete Change

Far into trouble I dive
I dug a hole so deep
After being dead I long to live
For so long I've been asleep
The body becomes cold
As time goes by I'd rot
Instead, I go against an untimed death. I now hold
A burning passion, I burn as the flames, flaming hot
Learned from mistakes made yesterday
Looking forward to see a better tommorrow
As I say goodbye to the days
Where I look to my life with sorrow
Embark on a new adventure
Bound to a twig
soon sheding skin to become a pupa
While inside I turn, turn into a butterfly
Ready to spread my wings and prepare to fly
