Complacency (2) Poem by RIC BASTASA

Complacency (2)

one has forgotten
the sickle

the weeds have
thrived

and the sea is
blurred

try to figure out
what sickens you

your hands are idle
you ego shouts

how soft the soil
how life is buried.
