Comparitive Plea Poem by Ted Blue

Comparitive Plea

My mind is a palace without foundation - ambiguity.
My thoughts lack needed definition - certainty.
My feelings are fleeting, not wishing to stay - impetuosity.

My mind is a rampant river, at then end - a waterfall.
My thoughts are like racers, along their path - a pitfall.
My feelings are like foothold traps. Snap! - I'm left to crawl.

My mind is a tree without firm roots - one effortless pluck.
My thoughts are an invisible marsh - one misstep I'm stuck.
My feelings are embodiments of seasons - only capricious luck.

My mind needs a separation from itself - a vacation.
My thoughts need set purpose - a dedication.
My feelings need permanence - a stabilization.
