Companion

Eyes wide awake
Mind takes no break
Sleep afar,
Only on show
Thru a slit on window
A lone star,
In that space
It shows its face
Of loneliness,
Does it like me
Need company
In the nightly recess?

Poem of the Day

poet Henry David Thoreau
