Common Sense Poem by Eyan Desir

Common Sense

Rating: 5.0

When roses find a new stem
The most beautiful scent
Rests upon the petals
Of a fresh flower

Oceans bearing its love
If there's no understanding
Is as brittle as glass

As the rose withers
Smell its sour aromas

Friendship without forgiveness
Are birds without feathers
We need wings to fly!
Not even oceans with love...

Can make relationships last.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

What a truthful poem. Walking in forgiveness is the key to healthy relationships. Well Done! ; D

Friendship without forgiveness Are birds without feathers We need wings to fly! The ultimate utterance a human being to pronounce. Beautiful imagery. still can't imagine birds without feather. And.....And......we need wings to fly. Perhaps poets and averages are different in nature. Poets have the wings....their romantic thoughts but average! They will perhaps have to purchase it from somewhere I think, otherwise poet will have to borrow him...... Good writing. Enjoyed. Write more...... Regards, 10 Apoet Bangla

A great poem and it has certainly captured the hearts of your readers. Your final two lines tie the poem in beautifully.
