Commiseration Poem by Patricia Denise Newman

Commiseration

Oh what a sad day is this
even the sky weeps for your loss
lost now is that state of bliss
bright happiness has turned to dross

Fickle fate has brought you here
turning your life upside down
losing one you held so dear
the world around you wears a frown

Sweet memories come pouring in
days of happiness sublime
bringing comfort from within
that warm you at this darker time

Though grief and sadness now fill your day
may our love and friendship soothe it away.
