Commencement Of Spring Poem by Nalini Jyotsana Chaturvedi

Commencement Of Spring

Rating: 4.3

Winters now
Rolling up
Their sleeves
Time again
For springing
Green Leaves

Days seem longer
Warmer too.
Evenings do Bring
Some
Cold times clues

Flower beds
Bunches of reds
Colours and hues
blue, pink are back

Dreary grey
Of winter Rays
Soon giving way
To golden array

Chirping songs
The chorus is on
Baby birds
On branches
Do throng

Emerald of fronds
To skyline belong
Just Too many days
Of dried up old cones

Fragrance of youth
Winning
all forces brute
Ecstatic smiles
Touching
solemn, puerile

Spring time is here
No feelings
To compare
Softness of grass
I feel in soles bare

I walk around
In wilderness
Up towns
Catching breeze
In my hair
Love is here
To be found
