Command, Of Me So That I Might Speak Poem by Darryn John Murphy

Command, Of Me So That I Might Speak

Nether speaks beside the flame to honour thee in thy good name
My lord why have you forsaken me upon this night within this hour
No fight to bare, amidst the mist in thy good name
Power is and thy feelings grow beside this tower
Between the things that we have compared
Scared, Trice the tech had tried to take thy creek
And now it seems thy hands have grown weak, thou has declared
Command, of me so that I might speak, even though thy hand is weak
Speak'th now or hold thy tongue, beneath the light of yonder sun
Thy senseless act thou war is waged, fetch of me thy gilded cage
Solemn is it said by one, what light shall shine beyond thy sun
Parched am I within this thine age
Born of this forbidden land, the compromised made by one foolish man
Before thee crowd perhaps they’ll understand
