Comfort Zone Poem by Shirene L smith

Comfort Zone

I started to feel extremely displaced
I knew I had outgrown this place
The air is still, moving at a snail’s pace
My movements are constipated
My development has been arrested
My mind is being messed with
My will is constantly tested
20 years I’ve invested
I pack my things and any scruples I am left with
Hearing soulful voices and, ”Leave right now” is the message
