Come Stand Beside Me Poem by Jayne Smith

Come Stand Beside Me

Rating: 3.0

As you walk over the rainbow to the place up above,
Come stand beside me and show me your love.
If at night when the pain is too much and I should cry,
Come stand beside me and sing me a lullaby.
But if my day is warm and bright,
Come stand beside me and share in the light.
And if there are things in life that I don't understand,
Come stand beside me and hold my hand.
If through success I have my time in the sun,
Come stand beside me and say 'that's a job well done'.
If life throws me too much sadness,
Come stand beside me and explain the madness.
If there are times to celebrate the things that I have done,
Come stand beside me and share in the fun.
And when the rainbow awaits and my day is this day,
Come stand beside me and show me the way.
