Come Knock My Door! Poem by Rishi Kaashyap

Come Knock My Door!

Rating: 5.0

A pug pup with nose twitching
Soft fur gently glowing
Marble eyes kindly calling.
To have you for keeps,
Where ever you are,
Come Knock my Door.

Mangoes - All raw and Green
With Noses sharply bending
In tall trees, hanging.
To relish you with salt,
Where ever you are,
Come Knock my Door.

A shiny steel scooter
With a new bell clinging
Tiny wheels rotating
To whip past by.
Where ever you are,
Come Knock my Door.

A newborn caterpillar, always eating
With tiny legs for walking
And a mighty mouth for Munching.
To see you transform, to a butterfly
Where ever you are,
Come Knock my Door.

A funky cam for clicking
With clear lens for focusing
Feather touch buttons for zooming.
For showcasing my way of viewing,
Where ever you are,
Come Knock my Door.

An Aquarium with Antiques lying
With colourful fish swimming
And tall sea plants waving.
For looking sad by pretending,
Where ever you are,
Come Knock my Door.

A watch with needles ticking
The strap gently bending
The Radium brightly glowing.
To wear for an outing,
Where ever you are,
Come Knock my Door.

You tempting guys
Come finding me!
To stay with me,
To live with me.
Where ever you are,
Come Knock my Door.
With you ‘all beside
I wish no more!

Rishi, this is really very good. It flows so naturally, the images are delightful and the construction is spot on. I had to read on for a second to understand a funky cam was a camera but looking back it fits in perfectly. Better than using the word camera in fact. Well written.
