Come Back Baby Poem by Hannah Torres

Come Back Baby

I imperfectly love you.
These are the last words of my lover.
The last things he said before he said goodbye for now.
Only for a short time we said.
But it will feel like forever in my eyes.
I wish that tomorrow was the future and I could talk to him.
That I could be with him.
That I could have a chance with him.
He is the man that I would say got away.
To my grave and back if we will not be he got away.
As I smoke my cigarettes and drink my booze.
I will tell about my man that got away.
Talking like I'm sharing about the best love that ever lived.
Sharing about my man.
You will never see a man like him.
Handsome in everyway.
Smarter than I know.
Lovelier than the lilies in the prettiest valley.
He's living in Cali now.
But probably not in the valley.
Oh valley baby you will always be my baby.
Drinking the severed wine from my body oh baby.
I miss you.
I miss calling you talking for hours.
I miss hugging you like it's been a while.
I miss you my love.
Don't leave me for long my love.
Come back and be my love.
Come back to me my love.
Please mean it when you say I imperfectly love you.
Cause I love you and will love you to the end of time. My love.
