Come Alive Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Come Alive

Walking through life with heart of stone
With soul festooned in shame
Feeling in shadows all alone
Condemned to Satan’s flame

Wake up and know it needn’t be
Arise and lend an ear
Through Jesus’ blood our eyes may see
What darkness has to fear

Wake up, wake up and come alive
Wake up The Truth to see
Taste of your God, savour and thrive
By Jesus’ royal decree

Accept God’s Love receive His Light
Leave darkness far behind
In Jesus’ name arise and fight
The one who’d keep you blind

Come alive in Salvation’s hand
Alive to the vast unknown
Sample The Truth and understand
You’re truly not alone

The One True God’s alive and well
Who died the death of shame
Yet rose to save each soul from hell
Who’ll call upon His name

We’re not alone and not condemned
Not destined for the sword
Death’s journey’s not our feared end
When Christ we claim as Lord

By faith eyes see and hearts discern
By faith we cease to stray
Ultimately we come to learn
That Christ’s The Only Way
