Colourblind Poem by Holly Heron

Colourblind

Since you left
I've been colourblind
Since you left
I've been numb
If I take the knife
Maybe I'll see
If I break the skin
Maybe colour will come back

A burst of red

A burst of pain

Anything is better
Then this hole you left me in
I just want to feel
Just once before I fall
You opened a hole beneath me
And I'm sinking in the depths.

A burst of red

A burst of pain

i know that I'm alive
