Colorless End Poem by Arcely Talicuad

Colorless End

Rating: 4.8

Thousands of days I waited, for my day to be brighter,
Stood up clueless, on when to stop this matter
Days were spent dreaming of you and I, painting together
Picking up stones as we walk though the rocky shore of the river.

Summer ended and winter gently came in,
Draftiness broke and penetrated the warm that ran on my veins
Oh! Frosty breezes had reached my thirsty heart
And with tyranny took all the enthusiasm to wait.

Sleepless nights started to rule my bedroom
Supple bed and fluffy pillows seem turned to wood
How long would I be staring at the moon alone?
Look like this question would remain as a conundrum.

Wretchedness already conquered my desire to happiness
Memories with you in dreamland, had started to vanish
Hope, once lingered left behind like an abandoned quest,
And disappearing scents of flowers from the garden of the Duchess.

Great imagery, I can feel the sadness of being lonely beneath the lines - you have portrayed it beautifully and emotionally. Great poem, thank you so much for sharing it. RoseAnn

A lovely romantic poem well put together. I like the articulation of the piece as it captured the essence of the poem - nostalgic feelings amidst loneliness. A nice piece indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
