College: Invitation Poem by Brian Johnston

College: Invitation

Rating: 5.0

Do not wait for rain
To hide your tears
Like a statue standing
Alone in a park,

Or evening's shadow
To mourn the love
That chose to flee the warmth
Of your open hand.

Do not be ashamed
To let men find
The swelling sea within
Now overflowing.

Nice! Brilliance in brevity and all that. A 10 from me.

Very well penned. I would say: Why can't I be I? Copying others strenuously try In the fire-pan I fry! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! C. P. Sharma

though stoics may not agree as you have presented your own point of view, the idea is impressive for originality, of course the point here is not to encourage someone to cry in public but to avoid pretension and screening...stay what you are! ! !

Beautiful write to allow ourselves to expose our great souls to a wounded world to embrace who we are.
