Cold World Poem by Moth Harris

Cold World

Ice cascades, drips shine from rays of sunlight.
Our world starts to melt from the days of our delight.
In a crystallized fashion we fall like rain,
except we are cold from the mornings of pain.

I stand here frozen, a shiver runs down my spine.
The path we've chosen, was far from our design.
We wonder how the sun can rise, when it's so cold.
Well at least it tries, when our fate's been told.

My breath is like fog in the air, rising slowly.
Our deepest lie and sin, was care, meant to be lonely.
Even the the light has dimmed, you're there, my one and only.
This world would be a much colder place without you...
