Cold Spring Rain Poem by Walter C. Edwards

Cold Spring Rain

Cold spring rain splatters on the roof,
then flows down the roof into the gutters,
then it hits the down spout,
as the sound comes into my room,
moist damp coldness,
sends shivers up my spine,
hoping the warmth of springs bright rays,
will turn all this cold dampness away.
