Coffee Poem by James Hart

Coffee

How many cups of coffee do I drink in a day?
At least all of them are black and sugar-free
Is that one of those things I’d rather not say?
Like how much cholesterol I’ve put on since last Tuesday?
The nurse finds out when she weighs me in the Surgery
I find out when I learn how much I have to pay
For the daily croissants and espresso coffees
In one of my favourite coffee houses along The main street, a singular temptation of Mine.
