The arches of the mind of Bach
reverberate with solid sound
and bridge the span from light to dark
while joining heaven to the ground.
Musicians try to crack the code
while audiences are held in thrall,
but buried in the crypt the lode
lies hidden, though revealed to all.
Creating out of chaos calm
to soar beyond its limit, he
enshrines within his cello charm
the blueprints of infinity.
