Cloudy With A Chance Of Anything Poem by Donal Mahoney

Cloudy With A Chance Of Anything

Rating: 3.5

After the Inauguration, perhaps
he will take his family on vacation.
Hawaii's an oasis during the winter.
But in time he'll watch for something

that will challenge his skill set.
For eight years he has told us
what is happening in the world
even if he could not change it.

Explaining what can't be changed
is how weathermen make a living.
So if he chooses to do the weather
and tells us a tornado is coming

some might head for the basement
but others might stay in a recliner
sipping a beer and asking the wife
haven't we heard all this before.
