Clouded Hearts Are Reigning Poem by R. Ariffin

Clouded Hearts Are Reigning

Don’t shade your eyes from the sun
For today clouded hearts are reigning
Stop complementing rainbows and kisses
Such momentary doesn’t have meaning
Don’t embrace the faces in the pictures
The romantics are empty with promises
Please wash away the whisper and smiles
Hope has finally broken into pieces
Stop the music, the laughter, and poems
The mind is painfully trying to forget
Tell the leaves and flowers to fall astray
The streets are already full with regret
Leave all compassion to their fate
Stop begging for love to stay
Tell the world that I am bitter and empty
The day you turned around and walked away
