Closure Poem by Carlos Rodriguez

Closure

Rating: 4.5

I see the sunrise in your smile
As your perpetual being
Moves with grace and style
Confine to this wall of solitude
Break these chains of steel
With your warm and gracious attitude
Soft molder stare
Corrupt capitalism is present in the morning air
Waves of amber grain
Magnified glass broken in the stinging poison rain
Poetic phrases come to mind
Strange interlude of poised behavior I seek to find
Poplar trees grow thick and wide in the fertile ground
Soulful wisdom
Indian ocean, rose petals bloom
With intense devotion
Caress my silk pillowed house
Eternal faith in warm religion
Shrouded in mystery and doubt
Ophelia was to Hamlet
Like Samson and Delilah
Tragic lovers on the edge
Scorn and suppressed
Like the French monarchy
Watched in awe
The beheading of Marie Antoniette.
