Close Your Eyes Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Close Your Eyes

Rating: 5.0

Close you eyes and fill the nightly space
With fanciful dreams and patterns of lace
Imagine the fragrance of magnolias in bloom
Feel the presence of magic in the room

A balmy glow embraces and gently calms
There is a warm sensation in your palms
Your mind perceives and becomes aware
From emptiness you sense someone is there

There is a strong reluctance to open your eyes
What will await you as you observe and surmise?
Has anything changed in your environment?
The atmosphere has improved with contentment
