Close Up Poem by EatinB8 CC Ko

Close Up

21st century is about the days
People fighting for gals and gays
What about the guys
That also undergo hiding their cries
To fit in a world
Where equality is only hurled
From one to another
Since only our mother and blood brother
Care for us
Believe in us
Because what does it mean
If you don't know what we've seen
To tell me 'Man up' and 'Grow Up'
When you haven't even seen me close up
Equality is an eye for an eye
You know very well wars don't end, they die
And if only we could learn
Being together is the right thing to yearn
Maybe we wouldn't try to conceal
In our minds and what we feel
The black, the fact, in life, what's real
