Close To Her Poem by Aldo Kraas

Close To Her

From the time I first met her I was close to her
The street light is on now
Because the day ended
She said there are no heroes in her planet
But she knows I am close to her
Hugging her and kissing her
We just met each other today
We are close to nature she said
And I said once again I am close to her
From far away I hear someone playing that calming and soothing music
It must be coming from one of the houses
Somebody must be playing the piano
If I could just dance beneath the street lights
It would be so cool
I am close to her
How long the street light will be on?
I am close to her
She run and bought a hot drink to keep us warm
She said there is a toast to the new couple
You and me
Look the moon is shining also in the sky
How beautiful it is to see her
It is a full moon
We are walking home
It is late
No body else to be seen but us
By now the music have died
And the noise has ended; it is quiet like a ghost now
A new day will soon begin
The sun is rising
The birds are singing at our window
Keep on singing birds
Because it is wonderful to hear you all singing again

.............wow this is one of your best poems....so nicely written....it was like being there on a date with you and your friend.....and the best part was when it ended.....and the birds were gaily chirping the next morning....
