Cliff Of Memories Poem by Alexander Foald

Cliff Of Memories

I’m standing on the edge of a cliff
Up against the hard wind that blows over
Hands clutching tight, holding in all dreams
Cursing the days when I finally gave up

My heart is telling me a story
Of a man that held desire to love somebody
And a girl’s smile caught him right away
Only to doubt that she don’t see it that way

As the story goes to an end
The man never gave up to reality
Like trying to make spoon bend
There was nothing to prove his feelings

And now he’s standing on the edge of a cliff
Tears upon his cheeks, he finally can see
Those feelings have now gone along in the wind
Leaving him memories to tell some other days
