Clean-Cut Poem by Ransom Rusakov

Clean-Cut

Clean-cut men,
With Clean-Cut hats,
And Clean-cut jobs,
Live in Clean-cut homes.

Clean-cut homes share clean-cut wives,
With clean-cut duties,
And shameful secrets.
They share Clean-Cut men,
Who work in Clean-Cut basements,
With chambers dirtied with lies,
And pain,
And lust,
And death.

Yet, the Clean-cut community suspects nothing of the Clean-cut men,
Or clean-cut women,
Because who would suspect a Clean-cut family,
With Clean-cut lives,
Living in a Clean-cut home.
