Clarity Poem by Theresa Garces

Clarity

some days
there are the slightest hints
of clarity
or reason
of things that fall
into a place of their own
but most nights
are left
to whiskey
and cigarettes
to street lights
on empty streets
and strangers
with tired feet
and confusion settles in
it makes a home
between dusk
and dawn
