Chrysalis Poem by John Fenton Mcleish

Chrysalis

there are so many
streak through the starry night sky
flashing colours fly
alien nation they come
we are not the only one
I have seen their world
the people all dressed in gold
so beautiful
no war suffering or fear
only peace exists round here

our governments lie
their gasoline we must buy
technology hide
they want to keep us as serfs
just like the catholic church
humans who can think
threat to the establishment
so rotten it stinks
all the stars we cannot see
'cause of the oil industry
petrodollar slaves
just shut your mouth and behave
and dig your own grave
bankers and gods must be killed
if destiny be fulfilled
nasa is all fake
spaceships are simple to make
like a piece o' cake
they suppress great inventions
murder assassination
warlords say they've won
but their power soon undone
a new breed beckons
parasites destroy the host
but themselves will also roast
they think they're clever
yet they won't last forever
already over

transcend your earthly station
a cosmic transformation
satellite blue shift
supernova chrysalis
become solaris
destination Sirius
orion to draconis
there are no limits
only in your mind be it
free is your spirit
surf gravitational wave
or this rock will be your grave
humankind must change
we will never be the same
for this is no game
the space race surely to lose
the dragon is not confused
catching up so fast
squandered so much of our past
we will never last
for we are not evolving
DNA is devolving
primate ascension
talking monkeys we've become
it's devolution
take this chance now make your run
going going going gone
